It is with great pleasure that i write these notes for a new branch of supporters, The East Riding Minstermen.
The East Riding Minstermen has been formed from the ashes of the former Pocklington Minstermen in order to promote our wonderful club throughout the riding, even stretching across boundary to Malton and Scarborough in the North and Selby to the west..
Membership is now available for the 2013/14 season. Prices are £5 Adults, £2 Concessions (under 16s, over 65s) and Family Memberships £10 (2 adults and children under 16). For further details please contact either myself on the number below or Monty Simpson on 01759 301258.
We will be holding regular meetings at Pocklington Town FC throughout the season where Members and Non Members can come and meet their favourite City players. Our first meeting will be held on Thursday 12th September 2013 at 7:30pm, with special guest Nigel Worthington. The meeting will take place at Pocklington Town fc, The Balk, YO42 2NZ. There will be a Q&A session with Nigel, so get your questions ready. There will also be a raffle at the meeting, so if you have any prizes you would like to donate please get in touch. The club have generously donated a match ticket for any game in January. Everybody welcome, members and non members. You can also buy one of our brand new pin badges priced at £3 each.
It is also our aim to eventually provide transport to Away matches with suggested pick up points being York, Pocklington, Selby, Howden and Goole. In the meantime, we are in talks with our friends, the Harrogate Minstermen to share travel with them.
East Riding Minstermen will soon have lapel badges featuring our logo for sale. These are a limited edition of 100. They will be priced at £3 each. Please contact myself if you wish to purchase.
Our Website is now up and running and can be viewed at www.eastridingminstermen.weebly.com A big Thank You to Sam Allenby for setting this up.
Finally, we look forward to working closely once again with York City Football Club.
Enjoy the game.
John Uttley (Chairman, East Riding Minstermen)
